Artists United: Israel Community of Designers

Designed_in_IsraelThis Saturday, April 4th, marks the 4th anniversary of the creation of the Israel Community of Designers. Established at the famous Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Ramat Gan, Israel, the organization was built on the concept of representing designers as a whole: their creative needs, ethical rights, business objectives and imaginative minds.

The organization began with 150 of the leading designers in the country and has grown immensely under its board of directors, famed artists each in their own right. The board leads a variety of Among its many seminars, lectures and award ceremonies, the community’s most popular event by far has become its annual “Designed in Israel” show, an international traveling exhibition in partnership with TheMarker magazine (in Hebrew) that shows the achievements made in the various fields of design in Israel.

The Israel Community of Designers’ Web site (in Hebrew) highlights the work of young designers, specifically in the areas of graphic, jewelry and industrial design, and is continually growing to adjust to the consistently new creations that portray the originality of Israel. For the past four years this organization has worked to represent the best and the brightest in the design industry in Israel and we hope that there will be many more progressive years to come!
