Designer Osi Gilboa’s love for fashion can be traced back to the roots of her family tree. Born in Israel to a father who worked in the clothing industry and a mother who worked as a seamstress, Gilboa was given a first-hand glimpse into the colorful world of design as a little girl.
Gilboa grew up interested in other cultures and always had a creative mind due to her upbringing. After serving in the Israeli Defense Force as a young adult, Gilboa went on to study Middle East and African History at Tel Aviv University.
She grew interested in developing a career in foreign affairs and seemed to have her future set before her when an unfortunate turn of events changed her path. In early 2004, Gilboa had her car stolen from her, which derailed her plans to further her career.
However, instead of postponing her career, she decided to use the insurance compensation to go back to her roots and start a business designing women’s clothing. Despite having little formal training, Gilboa pulled together a complete and high-quality women’s collection that launched in 2004. Her line of clothing became an immediate hit in Israel and flew off the shelves of high-end boutiques across the country.

Her items became instant favorites of women everywhere because of her careful use of color and fabric selection. Her inspiration comes from colorful prints, bold patterns and bright, strong colors which gives her creations a signature look that is also suitable to the warm Israeli climate. These days Gilboa is married with three kids and she still finds time to create a major women’s collection each year along with a secondary collection that is introduced mid-season. Her pieces are still flying off of store shelves, only this time it is off the shelves of her own boutique, Osi Gilboa
